As a writer and educator, Abigail desires to connect with people. In the classroom, she values the opportunity to impart the skills necessary to write clearly and appreciate the written word. Abigail has been teaching English since 2018. Teaching helps her be a better writer as she is constantly undertaking the process of reading and editing work. Abigail also works for the Phoenix Foundation of Central Florida, running their social media and outreach.
Education
Abigail graduated with a bachelors in creative writing from Florida State University in 2015.
She earned her masters of fine arts in creative writing from the University of Tampa in 2018.
Work Experience
She has been teaching for the University of North Florida since 2019.
She is also a board member since 2016 for the Phoenix Foundation of Central Florida, a scholarship and grant organization.
Volunteering
Abigail volunteered with the Florida Literary Arts Coalition from 2020 to 2022, helping to get this organization get back off the ground to support Florida writers.
